About the Course

Diver certification begins here!

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, your PADI Instructor takes you through the basics of learning how to scuba dive. You start in a pool or pool-like conditions and progress to the open water, getting the background knowledge along the way.

This course qualifies you to dive to 18m, with a lifelong certification, that you can use all over the world!

This course consists of 3 parts: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Training and Open Water dives.

  1. The knowledge development covers the basic principles of scuba diving and safety factors. You learn things like how pressure affects your body, how to choose the best gear and what to consider when planning dives. This is done via e-learning at the comfort of your own home. You have to complete 5 sections, each with a quiz, and then a final exam that makes sure you’ve got all the key concepts and ideas down.
  2. The confined water session is 5 modules where you learn and practice scuba skills. Here you’ll learn everything from setting up your gear to how to easily get water out of your mask without surfacing. You’ll also practice some emergency skills. Over the course of these five dives, you attain the skills you need to dive in open water.
  3. For the Open Water sections, you get to put into practice all the skills you have learnt, whilst having fun exploring the underwater world at a local dive site.

Number of Dives: Five Confined/Pool Water Dives, done over 2 to 3 sessions and 4 Open water dives, done over 2 days.

Equipment you’ll use during the course includes: mask, fins, snorkel, tank, regulator, buoyancy control device, submersible pressure gauge and exposure protection as required by the local environment.

Cost Includes: PADI student crew pak, certification processing, knowledge development sessions, confined water dives, 4 open water training dives, equipment for training, wall certificate upon completion, professional instruction.

Group and corporate rates available.
